Business 2 Business is a commerce transactions in-between businesses like manufacturer and wholesaler, or wholesaler and retailer. The transactions are normally big when compare to the transactions between to B2C. But where as B2C or Business 2 Customer are transactions between the Business and the customer like retailer and customer.

Difference between B2B and B2C:
The noticeable difference between B2B and B2C is the requirement of the customer. B2b focuses on the business transactions as the consumer and B2C focuses on the individual customer transactions. This differentiation creates different requirements for B2B applications.

One major difference between B2B and B2C is the type of order. For instance when you order office supplies or equipment, you order the same products at regular intervals. Continuous and standing orders are common in B2B. The mode of payment is different in B2B and B2C transactions.

One more difference is the type of search functions in B2B applications. There isn’t any catalog to browse and is not necessarily a need. While shopping for particular items, your company gets some bidding rather than searching and browsing a catalog.

Finally the type of connection between B2B and B2C differs. When you are in B2B applications, you are normally connecting to a partner or several trusted partners (Trading partner agreement application or e-marketplace).

However, here are some B2B applications which have unique characteristics that differentiate them from B2C applications:
1.    Different types of authorizations and purchases
2.    Participation in customers supply chain
3.    Variety of customer sizes, requirements and demands
4.    Unique terms and conditions, contracts for different business customers
